Welcome to September’s monthly newsletter.
East Coast College English classes with tutor Catherine. Tuesdays has returned. So come along if you wish to improve your english and gain a qualification. See poster below for info on East Coast College ESOL course assessment and interview days in September. Classes will return to DIAL later in September.

Something new coming to DIAL this month is Norfolk Family Mediation service. Have you had a relationship breakdown and having difficulty in agreeing arrangements regarding children and/or dividing assets then contact them on 01603 620588 to arrange an appointment. They will be here alternate Saturdays starting 21st September between 9.30am and 4pm.
Norfolk & Waveney MIND are here for 1-1 meetings. For all enquiries and to check availability please call MIND on 01493 842129.
The local Fire Station are having an Open Day on Saturday 14th September, for details see poster below:
Norfolk County Council have an exciting new programme starting in September for people aged 19+ with learning disabilities. The course involves cooking, learning how to live healthy on a budget, confidence building, gentle exercise, wellbeing, art and much more. The course is being offered across Norfolk so if you would like more information please see the attached ILS Road Shows leaflet or you can contact Rachel Dunn on 07450 717150 or a member of the team.
We have secured further funding for The Social Blooms 2 project through The Green Light Trust and Social Prescribing so this project will be relaunched very soon, so watch this space. this project provides great support to our gardening volunteers giving them more confidence and self esteem..

Norwich Credit Union are here Mondays 1-4pm and extra hour has been added due to demand, and Fridays 10-12.30pm providing advice to anyone having trouble with opening a Bank account or just wanting to save for a rainy day or to simply pay the bills. They are also offering Child Benefit Loans and will be taking appointment bookings on 01603 764904 or 07504 433758 to be held at DIAL between 12.30pm and 1.30pm on Fridays only. See poster below:-
Our Craft Club is held on a Thursday 10-3.30pm for those of you who enjoy crafts and being creative. Just come along to see what its all about and maybe join in and meet new people. Below is just some of the things that have been created within the Craft Club.
We have some exciting events coming up:-
As reported last month we are currently preparing a room at the DIAL office, so that “Go Geronimo” can install some gym equipment and run some exercise classes. We are hoping this will be early November. Further details to follow on this, so watch this space.
Social Prescribing have provided funding to set up a women’s group focusing on health and wellbeing. This will be a small group so get in touch quick if you are interested in joining in. This started on 14th August and will run for 8 weeks on Wednesday evenings 6pm-8pm and the venue is Feathers Futures, 17-18 Broad Row Great Yarmouth.
Norfolk and Waveney Mind are starting another Women’s Group which is a friendly, informal group for social time in a comfortable atmosphere with food and drinks available to purchase, more info in poster below:-
University Student Josh Epstein-Lines is creating an evacuation exercise where you can act out being a evacuee in a mock flooding on 9th September . Have you got your role to play. Info regarding this is on poster below:-
