We hope you all had an enjoyable Christmas and New Year and welcome back to our monthly Newsletter, and here is the first one of 2019 where we will give you up to date information on things that are going on in DIAL and what's coming up.  If there is anything you think we should include or that you would be interested in please contact Jenny on 01493 856900 or by email info@dial-greatyarmouth.org.uk

Firstly, we would like to thank all who bought Christmas raffle tickets, this raised £123. Also thank you to all who donated items to the Reverse Advent. We were able to create 15 Hampers, 8 of which were food related, and gifts for 6 young adults and 7 young children. Thank you all for your kind generosity.

Social Blooms held its Open Day in December which was a very cold day but enjoyed by all who came along and made christmas decorations and won wooden reindeers.

We would like to introduce you to Tim who is our newest member of staff, he is overseeing the Get Set DIAL Project which is to encourage working adults back into exercise so therefore improving their health and wellbeing. If you are interested please contact Tim at the office on 01493 856900.

Pensionwise are back and will be here for all work pension queries alternate Wednesdays and Fridays. Please call 01379 658205 to arrange an appointment.

East Coast College are back from the Christmas break and will be in the office again from Tuesday 8 January providing ESOL English classes, Tuesday and Thursday mornings 9.30am - 12.30pm plus if you would like to improve your Maths skills we hope to soon have classes here on Fridays.  More information as we receive it. Please pop along to Kingside if you wish to join these classes or for further information call 01493 856900

Norwich Credit Union are here Mondays 2-4pm and Fridays 10-12.30pm providing advice to anyone having trouble with opening a Bank account or just wanting to save for a rainy day or to simply pay the bills.

Our Craft Club is held on a Thursday 10-3.30pm for those of you who enjoy crafts and being creative.  Just come along to see what its all about and maybe join in and meet new people.

Coming back in mid January is the Route 9-5 cafe held at DIAL alternate Thursdays 10am-12pm. For those who have been out of work for some time and would like help getting back into employment or volunteering. Anyone wishing to join in please come along to see what its all about.

DIAL Great Yarmouth will be holding its AGM on Friday 8th February at 11am

in the Northgate Room, Great Yarmouth Library.

There will be a guest speaker followed by light refreshments.

Please arrive for 10.45am to ensure a prompt start.

All are welcome to attend.
